Dr. Carl received his degree in optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1995. He completed his externships at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Lebanon VA Medical Center, and a private practice in State College. His areas of study included pediatrics, geriatrics and ocular disease.

Dr. Carl has been in private practice in the Dallastown office since 1995. He has a special interest in difficult contact lens fittings such as lenses for astigmatism, bifocals, and contacts for dry eyes. Dr. Carl also performs comprehensive eye examinations with a strong interest in the detection and management of diabetic eye disease.

Dr. Carl is originally from Hegins, PA.. He currently resides in Red Lion with his wife Wendy and their two children.

Without a dedicated and knowledgeable staff, the practice would not have been able to grow into a leader in the eye care industry.

What made you decide to become an optometrist?

To help people achieve the best vision possible, to inform or educate the public on eye related conditions and to preserve one's vision to last a lifetime.
