After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree at East Stroudsburg University in 1985, Dr. Hollenbach received his optometric degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1990. He practiced in Lancaster county for seven years before joining Weaver Eye Associates.

Dr. Hollenbach provides general optometric services at the East York office which include contact lenses and pediatric optometry. In April 1999, he passed the requirements to prescribe therapeutic medications for eye-related conditions in addition to foreign body removal. In October 2004, Dr. Hollenbach became 1 of only 24 Optometrists worldwide to become certified in Vision Development and Therapy, and continues to work alongside Dr. Christa Roser at Vision Therapy Assoc. in Dallastown.

Dr. Hollenbach grew up in the Harrisburg area and moved to Lancaster County in 1990. He has been a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and American Optometric Association since 1991. He has also been active with his local Lions Club in which he has served three times as president.

I am very grateful and honored to be associated with a group practice that strives to be on the cutting edge of the profession.

Why is Weaver Eye Associates so active in the community?

Community service is a high priority at Weaver Eye Associates. It gives our patients an opportunity to see how much we care.

How important is the staff to the practice's success?

A dedicated staff is the life of the practice. Having an excellent staff provides a better relationship with patients.

What made you decide to become an optometrist?

My sister came home with hard contacts when I was seven. I've wanted to help people see better ever since.

What innovative program approach or incident can you describe that makes Weaver Eye Associates stand out among other optometrists?

Although there are three separate locations, we all work together to achieve that same goal; serving our patients.
