Corneal
Topography
A
quick, accurate, and painless procedure which allows the
doctor to assess the irregularities, curvature, and
overall shape of the cornea (the clear front dome of the
eye). This mapping technique, which utilizes no drops,
requires the patient to look in to a bright camera-like
device that takes a series of measurements in only
seconds. These measurements are very useful for refractive
surgeries and more accurate fitting of contact lenses.
Corneal diseases such as Keratoconus can be better
diagnosed and monitored with this technology.
